Today our Scholars continued exploring for their spring community project through a field trip to one of our cities local municipal companies: DC Water.   Our Scholars learned about the hard work the people at DC Water do every day to keep our water clean for drinking, and the work they do to cleanse our waste water to protect our local rivers. 

 

The kids also learned about DC Water’s concerns about Climate Change and their mitigation plans.  Finally, the kids got to take part in a lab experiment where they learned a little Chemistry through a lesson about bases and acids.
