Summer Fundraising Campaign 2025
Why this matters—right now
In a year when science education and equity are under attack, OpenWise Learning (OWL) is holding the line by training a Vanguard of young innovators. Our scholars don’t just learn to code; they learn to ask better questions about technology and community. Your gift turns summer momentum into fall pathways—open labs, mentors, tools, and stipends that keep learning alive after camp ends.

-
Access & Belonging: Transit, meals, and needs-based stipends so cost never blocks opportunity.
-
Tools that unlock learning: Microcontrollers, sensors, and parts so teams can prototype for real problems in Washington, DC.

Our impact
This summer, students in our 10th Summer Immersive wrote their first Python programs, built sensor circuits, and debated how AI should be designed with their communities in mind. Alumni are moving on to high-school robotics, internships, and dual-enrollment courses. With your help, we’ll keep that arc going this fall—and bring more families into the work.
Why your support is different
Plenty of programs teach “tech skills.” OWL teaches skills and agency. Our scholars learn to build technology—and to ask who it serves. That combination changes classrooms, families, and neighborhoods.
