Apply for Summer 2019
Are you looking to learn and have fun? Join us for our 4th Annual OWL Summer STEM Immersive! The application is online here. Learn on Raspberry Pi’s about Python and how to code. Design your own website with HTML/CSS skills. Sharpen these skills while learning how to improve your community and the world we share.
Our goal is to increase Diversity in STEM. By focusing on groups that are traditionally the minority in STEM careers, we hope to change the numbers! Black and Latinx boys and girls age 11-13 in Washington, DC are welcome to apply.
STEM and science skills will be important in preserving the Earth. 17 Goals by 2030 seems ambitious but it’s possible! Even young kids can invent, innovate and advocate on small and large scales. We have had students produce websites about gender equality and cleaning up waterways. Coding a musical code to make a song about achieving the goals was someone else’s summer project!
Come learn more at our parents’ informational session on April 29th at the Northeast DC Public Library at 630pm.
